A By-election will be called in District 9 Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park with the resignation of MLA, Natalie Jameson. The Election Act states the by-election Writ of Election, shall be issued within six months from the date the members seat is vacated.

You are eligible to vote as long as you are:
- 18 years old, or will be on By-election Day;
- A Canadian citizen on or before By-election Day;
- Living in PEI for the six months immediately preceding the date of the By-election; and
- Living in the polling district on the date of the By-election
