Elections PEI is mandated to administer the provincial general elections, by-elections, plebiscites and referendums.
The fixed election date for the next provincial general election is scheduled for Monday, October 4, 2027.
The First-Past-The-Post electoral process is used in all Prince Edward Island provincial elections and by-elections.
The Island is divided into 27 electoral districts with a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing each district.
